Community Health Care

Visualising the health status of the people, society is taking up few programmes of health care. The programmes include health education and training, immunisation, mobile health and eye camp, T.B. detection camps, family welfare, mother and child health, blood donation and blood grouping camps. The Society is training its workers and villagers to work as enumerators and health workers. This year i.e. during 2019-20 health camps have been organised at different places of the target blocks. Health education programmes is a regular activity of the Society to educate the rural people on different aspects of health and hygiene. The Society also actively participated in various programmes conducted by Govt. which include programmes related to pulse polio, leprosy identification and awareness for AIDS and Cancer. The volunteers of our Society participated actively in educating people belonging to the urban and rural community regarding the killer disease of the millennium “AIDS”. Village level group meeting are being held always to aware the women specially regarding the care and treatment during pregnancy. The Society is encouraging various families to adopt family planning procedures to keep the size of the family small in the way to national progress and development. Under these programmes family planning motivation and operation camps, campaign for use of population control measures and care for child and mother are undertaken. The Society has kept its hope alive to make the family planning programme of the Government a success and thus contribute to a sizable reduction in the growth rate of population in the country.

Sanitation

The Society is conducting different programmes on sanitation education, community cleanliness and massive campaign on sanitation. This year the workers of the Society with local people participation assisted in cleaning of slum and village ponds, surroundings, roads, outside defecation and also educate the people about the bad effect of the outside defecation. The Society has conducted various such programmes in the operational blocks in the year under report. The local people are motivated to develop the habit of cleaning to keep the environment free from pollution, which should begin at home.
